WHEELS & TYRES: 18" Compomotive MO's - I like them, some people dont, but they were the only wheels that looked half decent that would clear the Brembo Calipers and had the right offset. I didnt want to use spacers.

EXTERIOR STYLING: Light Smoke Window Tints, Full Cup Edition Bodykit - Spoiler to follow (colour match was not that good), Gloss black A Pillar covers

INTERIOR STYLING: 9n Cubby box mod, Golf GTi Edition 30 Steering Wheel comming

ICE & SECURITY: Standard VW + Stand alone Cat 1 system + 4 * locking wheel bolts on all wheels. Alpine/Focal mild install

How much were those Brembo brakes and where did you get them?

Got them from a contact where I work and paid £500 for them, think Jabbasport stock the kits. Bit more money than I paid though - like double

lmao, I was just reading this "WHEELS & TYRES: 18" Compomotive MO's" (ipod playing in back ground) And I'm thinking too fast too furious, then my ipod on random plays Tokyo Drift (fast & furious)

Whooopps!! Typo on the Wheels they are 17" NOT 18" wheels, they are Compomotive MO's though...

My car started off a standard GTi which I waited 8 months for in total (long story, dealer ordered me the wrong spec car - apparenty the second page of options went missing ) In the time it took for the correct car to be built VW motorsport announced a racing series with the CUP Polo, then VW Germany realeased the CUP edition Polo GTi. I was a bit annoyed as the first time I saw the CUP I thought (and I'm sure people will dissagree with me) the looks are so much better than the standard GTi - Bit more mean and moody. Told VW had no plans to bring the CUP edition to the UK which was good for me as I could not have cancelled my ordered GTi. I then set about getting the kit which proved very very difficult. The kit is from Volkswagen Racing and it must have taken close to 8 months again to arrive (big thanks to Martin at VAG parts for all his help!!!!) I have not fitted the CUP spoiler yet as the colour match is not that great if you see it in front of you, but that will be comming soon - I'll post some more pics when done.

The kit came with everything you need - appart from wheels that will clear the monster calipers (not the size of the disks, but the width of the caliper). Very few wheels will work with this set up which is why I had to get Compomotive to make some up specially for me. The kit fits absolutly perfectly - the hardest part was bleeding the system after I put it on. Needless to say the stopping power of my Polo is impressive :-D Only thing that lets it down is the rear disks look really small in comparison.................. but I have a cunning plan for that

Just fitted my new steering wheel, cant take the credit for the idea though. Really looks the part and was a piece of cake to fit

The steering wheel is a great touch! Is there any way you could have kept the audio controls the Golf has? And the rest of the car is hot, keep up the good work! First post from OZ too :-D

Funny you should say that, I'm trying to sort that out now. Just having a few problems with compatability but fairly sure it'll all work out

VAG Parts Ltd supplied most of the stuff on the car, my contact there is Martyn - he is really helpful and has never let me down. If you mention James with the CUP (thats me) and the forum he will normally sort something out for you. Got to be careful with this steering wheel as there are loads of finishes available and I nearlly bought one with orange stiching from Ebay before I got Martyn on the case. My old standard GTi one is for sale if anyone is interested? Black leather and red stitching

Hey mate just wondering what offset your alloys are and are your tyres 215/40R17's??

The wheels are 8.0*17 ET 35 and the tyres are 215/40 R17
