on the mk4 polo the tweeters and door speakers are wired in using the same wire(hence there is only 1 for each side of the car in the iso connecter)

going back to what your topic was, depends on what sort of electrical skills you had, you could either do a pikey job like me and cut the plugs of the end of the wires and just solder etc them on, or you could cut the plug off and put bullit tips on and do it like that

with the dash speekers, there are 2 of these connector things in each one, which do i use though :S

its a pass through so it looks like this:

Where I've put blue is where you need to connect. Just snip off the old connectors and solder them together. If you want to use speakers there, then attach a third wire on the positive and negative.

i understand that but I'm still confused as to why there are 2 connectors in each of the holes where the tweeters were

because they are wired in series not in parralel you have one wire going from your headunit to the tweeters, (one connecter) then going from the tweeters (other connecter) to the door speakers, are you planning on taking the tweeters out or just replacing them??

Yeah they are in series. Whatever you do, if you want the door speakers to work, then you need to bridge the connectors. then if you want to replace them, just take another wire from the bridge.

There are two connectors as the signal has to pass through the tweeter, the first connector comes from the headunit, then the 2nd one goes to the door speaker.
