got my new sub today :) its a 15" re xxx v4 dunno where its going tho its massive! i didnt expect it to be this big!! foxie should knw a thing or two about these lol

lol yeah baby v4's as for electrical upgrades nothing yet but ill start with the big 3, then couple of batteries in the boot see how it goes then a alternator upgrade. my girlfriend works for bosch so i might be able to get the alternator cheaper

as for amps and box size, amps: haven't yet decided but may go with sumin like: us amps, solid, trutech, celestra dunno 100% box will be tuned to as low as possible but lookin around 6-8cubic foot

Who needs hydraulic suspension when you can fit a 15" sub in the boot to bounce it up and down :p

you're removing the back seats I'm guessing ?

dont go for Celestra, i've had nothing but trouble with the DA2k i had!

get a VR6 alternator like me, 120amps :)

i thought the celestra amps were good?? papaer power outputs look amazin. does the vr6 alt fit alright? i can get hold of a 150amp alternator for possibly the same price as the vr6 1

they are good amps when they work! i ran mine for 3hours and it caught fire, it's still being repaired in italy (9months it's been now!)

I'm running 4cubes on my xxxv3 12 at the moment and you'd find it hard to get a bigger box (it weighs SOOO much too) but am hoping to build a new box soonish, 2.5cft @ 33hz tuning

the XA3000d is what mbh69 (red polo bass van thing..) is what he used to run. i know a guy selling one in london area.. might even take £280ish for it, want me to find out ?

to power that sub youre gonna need atleast a second battery on split charge system and bigger alt.. gime a shout if you need any help with anything

Foxie if you could find out about that amp for me that would be great. i intend to run two yellow tops or 1 oddessy bat in the boot, alternator will be upgraded eventually but not right now cuz i haven't got the money. unlesss my girlfriend buys it 4 me.

Thought id add a little update. managed to find a guy selling an amp that maybe able to power the monster, heres some pics of it. hopefully ill get it into the car by next kingston meet

yup finally got 1, was off beb from talk audio. I've got a hell of a lot of upgrading to do before it all goes in. the cars been fully sound proofed frm top to bottom :biggrin: I'm hoping it will be some what loud

theres a lad with a v4 15" xxx in a mk4 golf boot and he can't make a box big enough for it so it sounds right, you really need to lose the back seats especially in a polo a 12" would fill a polo boot easily

i got a 10" solox so i didn't have to make a stupidly big box in my car its gunna be loud too 2500watt and at peak 5000 watts rms it all depends on if you want a sealed or ported box if you want it ported then bye bye back seats but if its sealed then the box doesn't have to be that big i've only made a 2cf box and it will still be loud running on a 1500 watt amp.
