Hi all

my first post :)

anyway, cutting to the chase - just bought my new baby, Y reg VW polo 1.4 - new dash/facelift

i noticed that there was a bit of dust/dirt inside the headlight when looking at it from the front

on closer inspection, after removing the back casing (as if to change the bulb) i noticed that the actual housing/reflector suface bit is loose ie. it's rocks a bit horizontally - does not stay stiff once the back casing is replaced

as a result the beam/light levels are not aligned, and after a bumpy drive, it tends to shift on the horizontal plane

any ideas on what exactly is wrong? is it just a matter of playing around with the alignment screws, or is there a rubber seal that's missing? what must i do?

also, any advice on what size alloys and tyres would best suit the car without breaking the bank - was thinking maybe 195/50 R15 ?

Yeah 15s would look good, but depends on what width wheels you choose?

was thinking 195 width - would i have any problems fitting in 16" alloys? ro do the arches need to be rolled in order to accomodate them?

also had a closer look at the right front headlight (with the help of my girlfriends pocket vanity mirror) after removing the backing of the headlight - one of the top right clips/mounts that the reflector screws into is broken - any idea/help/advice on how to remove the headlight?

was thinking of getting some angel eye headlights instead - best prices anywhere?
