Been sat outsie with my girlfriend (score!) trying to get the front strut back on my mk3. I can get the driveshaft in, but i cant locate the strut onto the little nobble it sits on.

Anyone got any tips?

or use a breaker bar and try and put pressure to line it up on it from the right angle.

It will go in eventually!

get a mate round that can give u hand .. give it a bit of grief itl pop in ..

Get your girlfriend to put on a white t-shirt and pour water on herself.

Failing that, use a big bar to locate it!

Remove the resistance from the anti-roll bar,by dropping the front mounts. Prize the clamp open with a big flat-head. Take it in straight,with some grease on it,and tap it in sensitively..

best way is to relieve pressure and line up the pin as best you can, get it to just about sit in the hole then let the pressure back on and give the strut a good wobble.

Big lever bar an a technical adjuster (hammer) :grin: always does the trick its part an parcel of have a m3 three mate (generally a two man job mate)
