bought a bee sting ariel and the thread on the ariel is 1mm too big to fit :(

is there anyway i can shorten the thread slightly

find a nut the same size, screw it on

hacksaw/file the 1mm off

de-burr as best you can,

Unscrew the nut,

Screw new bee-sting onto car and admire the flushness :)

EDIT: The nut is to ensure a clean finish - don't skip this step ;)
