Was looking into getting some uprated pads for the Polo, and some sites mention Girling / Lucas calipers fitted to 1.4 16v Polos. How do I know if my cars has these so I know which pads to buy ?

think there all the same on 16v. thats what pads I've got along with brembo max disc works well.

That'll happen tomorrow..... switch wheels around today (got bew tyres a few days ago so shoved them on the front). Would've been good to have known about this before. One thing I did notice is that the calipers were odd looking with fins on the back-side. Not normal VW looking stuff but didn't really pay any attention as I'm used to bigger VAG cars so thought this might just be what they look like on Polos.
