Hi guys and gals.

Right... I bought some second hand Spax Adjustable damping shocks and new 60/40 springs. Everythin seemed to be fine to start off with.. Untill i put my wide steel wheels on a couple of weeks ago, and now the rear wheels rub The back has been dropped 40mm, and it rubs!! I didn't have this much trouble with my old G-Max kit. The fronts are set to hard and the back ones are too (or so I'm told) and the adjuster on the rears are siezed. I'm tempted jus to buy some rear coilies and be done with it. But I'm jus wondering if anyone else had this kinda problem. Is it my set-up.. Or are Spax jus shit?

Any views would be great.

What size, width and offset are the wheels? If its when the suspension is compress it could that you could get away with longer/firmer bump stops.

The rear wheels are 13x 7.5J with an offset of 0 iirc. And sit jus outside the arch. Where could i get some longer/firmer bump stops? It does it when cornering quickly and if i have anything weighing more than a bag of sugar in the back.

I think Powerflex do bump stops which could help. But the end of the day you would be riding around on the bump stops which wouldn't be very nice. Powerflex Bump Stops Or you could either raise the suspension, firm the rear end up so it doesn't get to the stage where it rubs or change the wheels.

But the bump stops might be the easiest and cheapest way to try first :-D
