My mate had to split the nut on mine because the whole thing was turning(you'll know what I mean), You can try giving the ball a whack from the underside, might help.

Got a new nut to refit and it still turned basically indicating the ball joint was buggered.

Answer: a nut splitter(my mate had one) and a new track rod end (around £12)

Remember to take a very accurate measurement to match the old track rod end(the amount of turns)

I'm no mechanic just the experience I had with mine, saw knowone had replied

sorry I've not explained myself right, i have the nut off (had to grind it) but how do i get the actual track rod END apart from the track ROD that goes to the steering?
