[6N] How to fit a front strut brace?

Featured Replies

I've searched but couldn't find a DIY guide... It should be very simple yet there are some open questions:

1) there is another part bundled to the strut brace (by FK-Automotive). What is it used for? I'll post a pic later.

2) should the front be lifted in the air during installation? I was once told that this is essential for correct installation.

3) I was told that the front window water reservoir (pardon for the poor English  ) should be removed, otherwise installation is impossible. Is it true?

Thank you!

Bump

Any idea?

Try it and see. If you buy one that says its for a 6N then it must fit somehow!

The part you have bundled is the spacer fror the window water reservoir i think, you gotta put that part on where you take off the reservoir and put the reservoir on that spacer part, so it spaces it out a bit, gives you a bit more room and more and lets you mount your brace

As for the fitting, i've not got around to doing mine yet. Not sure if you need to drill holes for the brace, but post it up and let us know :)

Thanks for the reply.

You are correct about the reservoir spacer and drilling is necessary. I haven't mounted it yet too. I'll post in this thread some pics once I'll have patience to install it :-)
