is it ok to put mk4 head lights in the oven then?

my friend did it with his punto head lights... just dont leav em in too long other wise it ends up slightly mishshapen like my mates haha

i used a heat gun around the sealent on mine :)

you could always do i what i used to have and tint some stone chip protectors

how do the headlights come off a mk4?

Its not illegal to remove the lens,paint the outer flange and first half inch of the chrome bowl matt black,and leave the main inner bowl chrome. Then replace the lens. This gives them a much lower profile,without tinting anything. Base spec early 306 lights were like this.

will it get throught a MOT?

Having tried both the oven technique and the heat gun technique the heat gun one is 50 time better. You can put on as much or as little heat on for as long or as little as you like. Its a lot more precise.

Just make sure you don't do what I do and leave the lens precariously balanced on a window sill

i put a few drops of black in with some 2k laqure and did them that way. worked fine for me!
