17s on a New Polo??

Featured Replies

Hello...just a bit of knowledge exchange.. i found some nice Alfa romeo 5 stud wheels, they are 17's though, and i don't really know if they'd fit....what do you think?

The car they would go on is the new shape Vw Polo, 1.2 S...

Cheers

Ooh,you could be onto something here.

I dont know Alfa's spec, but Fiat own them and Fiat bolt patterns are small. As are VW. I wouldnt be surprised if they fit, though their offset will be less, resulting in the wheels sticking out a bit wider than a VW wheel of the same size would.

This means that if the bolt pattern is wrong, and you subsequently do need adaptors, the wheels would likely stick out too far with them. So you really need/want to know that the Alfa wheel is 5x100 - and i dont know if they are lol sorry :)

some alfa wheels would look nice on a polo :p

alfa wheels are 5x98 where as the new polo is 5x100?

if it is aslong as the ofset of the alfa wheels are between 30-45 they will fit with wobbly bolts but u will more than likely have to have some custom spigot rings made up for yourself

17's will fit but they will look stupid if the car isnt lowered, however if you lower the car it will void the warranty. I dont think alfra alloys will fit as the newer vw's pcd is 5x100

are the Polo's still 5x100? or have they switched to the 5x112 now?

Alfa's are indeed 5x98 so may fit with wobbly bolts if your Polo is 5x100

as far as i know theyr 5x100? but if they 5x112 merc rims are coming my way :unibrow:

All mk6/7 polos are 5x100

bugger i was hopein to put some golf gti wheels on my mk7

looks like ill need adaptors
