Offside rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what the jack this means? Is it serious?

it's a piece of rubber with a bolt through it that holds the axle to the rest of the car. Can't the MOT place just replace it for you?

serious? depending on how worn? Could be kinda dubious!

The garage will replace the bush for you but obviously with added cost of buying the bush and fitting.

A guy at work who knows nothing about cars paid near on £200 to have his disks and pads changed on a

suzuki alto, when it would of cost him £40 tops for parts and a couple of hours for a nubie to fit.

Always worth doing yourself, then you learn more about how things work.
