right I've got a black gti, wel picking it up sometime this week, it was on 7.5" bbs rm's (porn) but unfortunatly i couldnt get them and I'm haveing the car on the standard 15" gti split rims, thing is they have a 195 45 15 tyre on and it buldges out off the rim a fair bit and looks shit tbh.

what i would like please is the following (i dont ask much :D)

- photos of gti's on standard wheels (especialy black ones's with the centers of the split rims sprayed black)

- are the wheels 6.5" wide?

- tyres. . .I've looked at all 31 pages in the wheels and tyres section and haven't found what i wanted! I'm quite a 'spirited' driver and have always had good tyres to keep me on the road but hate big chunky things, i cant get T1-R proxies but only in the 195 45 15 . . .witch i would class as abit bulky. so next size is 185 45 15s. . .but only nankang do them as far as i have gatherd. . . i dont want to skinny/ streched tyre, but no big buldge/profile and a decent tyre. . . .someone please tel me I'm not asking to much :D

thanks for your help in advance :D

oh and anycomments welcome

195/45-15" is the standard size tyre for a MK5 / 6n2 on a 15" rim. Anything else will mess up the speedo to a greater or lesser degree.

I believe the rim is 6.5". You could slap the 195s on a wider set of rims over time.

:)

ok, thanks for your help :) looks like I'm sticking to 195s then!

Yeah they are! 195's don't look bad on 6.5's imho, not chunky at all.
