New Hidden Exhaust!

Featured Replies

Got my new stainless steel exhaust fitted about a week ago ( Just getting round to posting some pics )... It's from the cat back and the tailpipe is nicely tucked away behind my bumper... Awesome!

It is a tad bit loud since I don't have a back box but it's not extremely loud lol

Here's some pics I quickly took before my car came of the ramp!

yeah where has the back box gone

Maybe he didnt want one lol

Looks like perfection - heard good things about Stainless Creations, and now I've seen it!

looks pretty cool but no back box must make a right racket!

Thats a nice pipe there looks good and proper

would be very interested to hear how loud it is without back box! been thinking about taking he centre box out o0f mine to make it louder! hmmmm .... the work on the exhaust looks good!

I really like that. I'd love a system similair to that on mine.

Hidden exit every day, thats what I had done with my Powerflow. I did have a backbox and it was still too loud so had the tailpipe remodeled using two small 'U' sections to form an 'S' shaped exit like the OEM system.

Nice!!! I'm a fan of this car, keep up the good work

Ste

How much was this if you don't mind me asking? PM the cost if you don't wanna post :) Looks cracking!

Looks good mate! But bet its well loud though, iv got a full stainless on mine with a centre box and back box and thats still quite loud inside!!!

The workman ship in that looks awsome. I'm drooling.

i lost the centre section and had a de-cat on my 8v and sounded nice, not sure what it sounds like without a back box but i can imagine a really deep drone, like wen ure backbox falls off :S

hope thats not the case.

EDIT: just seen uve got a pretty beefy cenre section so should be all good noise wise.

good job!!

gotta agree, your car sounds like a tank when the backbox falls off, what is it like on motorways, does it resonate through the car?

workmanship is spot on, how much did this set you back please?

looks great ,hidden pipes are cooooool! :D

Looks clean and simple.

What made you not want a backbox/silencer?

My backbox came disconnected the other day and it sounds even better that way lol Gurgles and sounds meaty :)

Nice

Righty... lets clear up a few reply's shall we :-p

Cost me £300 sheets for the whole thing ( Including fittings etc etc )

Dropped the car off at 10am and returned that day around 5.30pm to collect it... there was a few minor problems with knocking and everything being so tight, so it took a bit longer than expected... But the job was still done and I was back driving my car by around 6.15pm... Sorted! :-D

Well I said to the guy I just wanted one box and if it was possible for that to be hidden too... but they said you would see it hanging lower than the bumper, which would result in it scrubbing of speedbumps etc and plus I wasn't wanting anything to be seen! But the SC boys told me it wouldn't really matter if I had the box in the centre of the car or at the back, it would still produce pretty much the same noise with just one box anyways! So that's why I ended up with no back box lol... IMO it looks alot neater ( Eventhough you don't see it lol ) And as you can see they made an awesome job of it! ;)

Noise wise... it is pretty loud but not as loud as all they chavvy cars kicking about, its a good rumble/drone! Only thing I can complain about is when your on the motorway and your tanking it... it is very loud... drones right through you :paranoid: ( Just crank the tunes up more though lol ) But if I get annoyed with it that much I'll just get a backbox fitted!

Dollyburd... I highly recommend you go there... top notch guys! Just say you know me :unibrow:

Thanks for the commnets people!

I would have fitted a small back-box as i can imagine it not sounding too cool, but does look damn impressive

Looks like a very nice tidy job!

Some of the systems you see people get made are proper rough but that looks really tidy.

Looks like a good piece of worksmanship by the garage there mate ..

£300 is alot but yes you did get some massive pipework for that ..

The welding is floorless !

How clean are the inside of your wheels !

£300 isnt that expensive, thats the rough price these days for a stainless exhaust from the cat back... its the quality your after anyways :-p

I will probs get a small backbox... see if they can make one up or get one sent to them, they only have two sizes in there garge the now and there rather large!

If it wasnt so far from me id be there like a falsh as it looks better than the usual powerflow systems...
