how will it blow my amp?

the sub doesnt create any power, and the sub will only work to the power of the amp, so if the sub is 300 watt, but the amp is 175 watt, will the sub not just work to 175watt?

the amp is a fusion 1000watt 5 channel, 4x80rms and 1x175rms for a sub.

your far better off using an amp which exceeds the rating of the sub and just turn it down. Rather than using a small amp

to run a large power sub. Youll either ruin the amp as your maxing it oput constantly or youll burn out the voice coil in the sub.

and today kids, the magic word is "clipping"

Yeah, same for hifi. Your amp power rating should exceed the speaker, amps don't like clipping. 9 times out of 10 if you get distortion in loud music it's the amp to blame and not actually the speakers (or sub).

Oh, and I'd go for the Vibe.

Clipping that was the word i was looking for!

i'd go jbl for that money ;)

time to save up and buy http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audio-re10-p-2981.html then is it? because its 175rms, or would i be better gettin lower rms than my amp?

or would you go for

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-swe1043e-p-5847.html

or

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/rockford-f...410-p-5975.html

or is RE audio one at 175watt the best to go for if funds can allow?

I recently got the rockford one (just got the 10" enclosure sold at the same site for now) and am impressed with it, went for it over the alpine as I couldn't confirm the specs of the Alpine, contacted CAD and they seemed to think it was a single 4ohm but on alpine's webby the spec chart says 4+4 - I needed a single 4 ohm or 2+2

SWE-1043E 500 150 4 + 4
