My Steering Is A Little Bit Odd

Featured Replies

Hi, my steering seems to have lost its goodness over the last 6 months, now feels sloppy, very hard to turn when moving slow or stopped and when going over uneven ground and such the steering wheel will follow the road sort of thing, anyways I've replaced the TCA's and all lower suspension bushes are nice and new, tyre pressures are all right (I even tried different tyre presures to see if it would help) the only thing i can think of it being now is the suspension top mounts or the actually springs/shocks.

Would these being worn out cause problems like these?

Thanks

You've got a flesh-eating disease weakening your arms?

Double check your ARB mounts. The reason I say that is because the ARB has a fair effect on the castor and also how the car feels to turn.

Just changed my top mounts and the steering is definately lighter, more direct and less sloppy. so I guess it could be the top mounts...

Does the entire strut have to come out when changing the mounts?

It's hard to do it any other way - I'd say yes.
