my OCD-cleaning/ improvement spree

Featured Replies

Howdy all,

I've been off this week so been busy cleaning and attempting at fitting some bits/removing some bits on the car, as this failed i decided to give it a good old clean.

Yer it is only a 1.9 diesel and when insurance allows it will be swopped but for the mean time it will be suffice. so DONT rub it in

so what do you think of my cleaning spree:

Hopefully soon the washer bottle will be relocated, into another pace me and a mate are experimenting with.

This last pic is actually quite poor as the gearbox is oxidised so wont clean very well... any tips anyone?

Be nice

wooot its a diesel!!! use a jetwash!

i just did my golf and it came up a treat - only snag i jetwashed a hole in the washer bottle!

Looking sprucely

Mate you need to get help for that kind of wierd-ass sheeeit!

And yeah I've attempted to do this to mine, i know how long it takes. The best plan with oxidised metal, if you can keep the car off the road for a day or so, is to remove the offending part and hammerite it black or similar. Looks so much neater!

engine bay looks well good mate, you can get good money for detailing peoples engine bays.

it does take a fair amount of elbow grease without a doubt but the end result is worth it wooot

whooops currie bout the hole in the water bottle, charlie jetwashed the engine of dennis when she got it and i was a bit wary of doing it and still dont think i would. far too easy murk various electrical conncetions and cos you cant vary the pressure of those jetwashes its a bit sketch

my engine bay was pretty clean as i had taken most of the bits out of it while working on it but i spilt brake fluid a bit over my gear linkages which were all new spangly bits of metal and its made them gay rat look.

Engine bay looks awesome!! Pressure washer would've been easier but prolly wouldn't finish as well.

What are the 1.9d's like? Really rubbish? What kinda MPG do you get?

looks very clean mate, kinda makes me wanna go do the same... but I'm lazy lol. nice job dude

that is spanking, well done dude

As i have already said! Looks Sweet mate!
