Did my scirocco a few months back,came up quite well for 175000 miles and never been in bits,not even for a clutch lol...

^^ looks like it turned out very well indeed mate! i cant help but theink the header tank hose looks a tad stretched though

and here are my promised fog pics :p the grille I'm not 100% sure on so its on there just to see what its like and to get your opinions really?

pianted ma calipers and drums on the otherside today aswell as the weather was abit better. and yep i no the beam is rusty but it wil be getting replaced with a GTI one fairly soon so I'm not too bothered :p and yes the plastics are a tad dirty but oh well!

GTI splitter going on again in the next few weeks too WOOP WOOP! :p

haha cheers mate, my rear badge was the same before some pikey gayner decided to half inch it! I'm thinking black surround like the whole pacman surround bit and the centre bit yellow duno yet will have a go on photochop and see which one i prefer :p

cheers guys, and what an arse fitting them fogs was! the whole front bumper had to come off! finally got that off and i found rust on the slam panel.. and I'm sure if you have read this thread you will understand what I'm like when it comes to rust haha! so i spent an hour sanding the whole front slam panel and painting it hammerite satin black it wont go rusty again haha!!

just gota go get some wiring bits and ma GTI splitter and i will be preety happy with the front

What did you use on the arches mate? looks spot on. Have you got a Machine polisher like the Meguiars G220? Thats the next stage for them wheelarches and the rest of the paint

I'm going to be doing this to my polo within the next couple of months. I detail cars for friends and family so its only right that i raise the benchmark on what i can do, on my own car.

haha nope no daz just paint cleaner polish and wax no clay or machines :-D and just hammerite mate, its preety strong stuff so I'm sure it will be fine, on the fornt i used smooth white and the rears got some hammerite satin black

just elbow grease and meguires shampoo, i scrubbed them with a nail brush and chopped down paint brush (so its stiffer than a std one) and as above really, no machines just elbow grease and good ol' megs :p :-D gna do something about them arches I'm still not overly happy with them

erm, its not perfect but it will certainly do me heres soem pics mate

sorry they are in a radom order but you get the idea :p it was plastic welded then fillered

i do have ALOT more pics just think these show what its like :p

POLOMON, Get yourself over to www.detailingworld.co.uk, car cleaning forum, full of ocd nuts like yourself, there'll be plenty of tips and advice on how to get the best finish possible. Few guys prepare concours cars too.

haha yeah i do find it hard now to find the motivation to do that to mine. I need to buy a machine polisher before i go mad with the car, but everything takes ages to do, so finding the get up and go factor is hard. but i will do it, and i will outshine yours. well we'll see anyway :p

oh i knew ther was something i had forgot... i know there not on my car but they are the same arches so therefore will be the same stance edge to edge 8" and 15" diameter 2" of lip :p
