Bumper damage - help!

Featured Replies

Hi good peeps

I have an M Reg Polo 1.0 Genesis and I unfortunately reversed it into a parked van coming out of my drive the other month (I know!) doing some damage to the rear O/S body work, light and bumper. The bumper is now hanging lower on this corner than the other and my boyfriend said this is because I broke a strut holding it in place. My question is - can I simply replace this strut, or would I need a whole new bumper?

Many thanks in advance

It might be that it's just parted from a mount, has a broken clip that can be replaced,or that the bumper is beyond repair.

The only way to find out is to remove the bumper and inspect the mounting points.

And i know you know, but it could've been a child - i only say this because so many people round here just reverse straight out and there are kids everywhere.

I observe what's around my car before i even get in it.

Take care
