Newbi after advice

Featured Replies

Hi All.

Newbi here, the wife has bought a 1995 polo. but the drivers window does not work, it's not electric but a manual winding type.

Does anyone have an expoloded view of how the door card comes off, and most importantly how the eindow mechanism looks?

I really appreciate your help if you can

Cheers

Mike

if i remember right pull the platic trim off that covers the door mirror fixings, un screw the door lock pin, slide the spacer thats behind the window handle and pull the handle off. (manual mirrors) unclip the trim around the adjuster and remove the screw benath, (electric mirrirs) unclip the trim around the mirror switch and disconnect the wiring connector, unclip the cover on the door handle and undo the 2 screws behind it, then pry the door card off around the sides and bottom to realse the trim panel studs, when all the studs are released pull the panel away from the door and lift the panel over the door lock pin and pull the inner door opener to allow the panel to come off. as for the window mechanism I'm unsure as mine was electric

hope this helps abit

Hi Mate.

thanks for the reply, I got it sorted now, In fact for the manual window winder release it turned out to be quite easy. and fixing the window was a doddle as well.

Thanks again for replying.

Cheers

Mike
