hey I'm new to this site but I'm looking to lower my white 1.4 8v polo 6n and I'm not sure how low to go and which springs to go for. also are dampers needed for lowering springs as I'm on a tight budget?

any advice would be much appreciated.

how tight is your budget?? anything lower than say a 50/60mm drop will begin to wear out your standard dampers super quick, also do you just want looks or the added handing aswell??

springs on their own with standard dampers wont give the benefits a new spring and damper kit do as the dampers are made to match the springs with shorter uprated pistons!

also it depends on what sze wheels/ tyres you have on the car as to how low you wish to go

60mm kit is the best option for budget..have a look in the jackson tining section on here phil sells some good kit for the money, currently running a group buy on coilovers....this will allow you to adjust the height accordingly for about 200 notes

Cheers my budget is about £200 - £250 so ill check that deal out. and I'm not sure which wheels to go with yet any suggestions i was thinking of 15's so a 60mm drop would work not sure what style to go for yet tho jus browsing at the moment. any suggestions appreciated.
