Parking fine...

Featured Replies

Basically a few months ago i got a ticket for parking for about 4 days in a 2 hour space, and it was at £60, 30 if payed within 14 days. I did neither, and got a letter through saying it was now at £90.

thats all fair enough, but when i called up to pay, (automated thing) it asked me to enter in how much I WANTED to pay. there was nothing in the letter about paying less than 90, or more- so i just payed £90 and be done with it. Since normally when you pay tickets your told the amount to pay, then may it- I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through that particular paying system- I'm slightly worried that I've missed a letter from the council about paying more than the 90 since i payed it quite late etc.

someone put my mind to rest! Thanks, charlie

Well initialy i didnt have £30, nor £60 later so i thought id take my chance and ignore it, and (typically) when i did have money the fine was 90 so decided to pay up. I just dont understand why for the 90, it asked me how much i wanted to pay?! Surley i could have paid 20p?
