as for nangkangs they're not that bad and whoever it was that managed a 4 wheel drift in their g, well are you suprised, g power + mk3 suspensions crap + a stupid small tyre with silly stretch + high pressures = down right stupid!

I diddnt think they were to bad when i used them although i went form some 165 crappy tires on a standard mk3 steelie to some 195s Nankangs on a 6J rim ...

I wouldnt streach em though .. You know there crap when you squeal driving around a car park at 2 Mph ...

I had them on my steelies (white walled ) and they were terrible. That was on a 1.0L, I'd dread to think what they are like on anything that even has an essence of power.

They are the bridgestone Potenzas mate 165/50/15" I think there all good on a 6J look the business and arnt to harsh on ride quality .

165/55s are what you want for a 14" rim try hankook ventus tyres! cheap and very good in my experience!

i run 165/50 federals on my g40 and it handles just fine! in fact its really good fun, i dont think i would run them on an 7j rim let alone 8! 6j estorils are just fine for me! totally agree with what you are saying

i agree nankangs are awful, at my work we call them nankang ditchfinders customer doesn't notice if you say it fast enough

am i right in assuming stretched tyres work on psi inside the tyre? so what happens if u get a flat? r u fooked and wil the tyre flap inside the bead? or can u jus top up like with a normal tyre..

I had 165/50 on a 15x6.5" rim and got a flat. The tyre didn't come off the bead or anything.

it was me! An my G40 isnt exactly the most powerful (about 140-150) and I managed a 4 wheel drift coming off a roundabout into a left hand corner onto a dual carriage way - just luck there was nothing in the outside lane at the time
