Goose - according to the manual a 1.8 takes 7.2 seconds to hit 50, then 11.2 to hit 60. A lot of time for 10 mph!

My Mk2 is on 13" Mk4 Polo alloys. Doesn't look too bad but I don't think I'll be joining the 13" club. I want another couple of inches you see...

Well yeah, if a polo is a "poor mans golf" then they can afford some extra door for the golfs

This reminds me of my friends mk2 Golf.. just a bit wider.. the black sounds that leave his car are truely lush.. i can hear him coming for at least a mile.. runs an 8v lump on twin dellorto's with a bit of top end fiddling (Yes he did have to move the master cyln and servo accross using mk3 fiesta parts ). His bottom end went to be re-honed yesterday.. so next year should see it as a 2L.

Its great though having 5 doors, no one expects there to be such a brutal amount of grunt under the bonnet!
