so basically, had a gt dropped in about a month ago.

since then, occasinally, once a week maybe it would start juddering like hell when i was driving then cut out.

it then behaved for a while, but its now done it every day for three days, and finally did it today and wouldnt start again (as it usually would).

had to leave it and go to work.

not dependant on revs, gear, speed, temp, anything.

any ideas which dont involve new parts over a tenner or something, stuff to clean etc. as its going to my mechanic on thursday so dont wanna buy unnessecary stuff before then.

parts been suggested:

fuel in line pump

fuel filter

throttle pottentiometer ???

this is really fucking me off now, if anyones got any ideas i might actually man love you ?

possibly the hall sensor in the dizzy? To be honest there are a lot of things it could be, if you have a friend nearby who has the same engine then the best thing to do is to start swapping bits over and see what makes it better. Or just let your mechanic sort it out, problems like this are pretty much impossible to just guess what is wrong. When you say "juddering", was it misfiring?

nah juddering as in kangerooing.

like it was suddenly getting no fuel ? but then getting some so it would move again ?

definately thinking it might be fuel related

probably hall sender in the dizzy if nothings been altered. sometimes they cut out above (say for example) 3000 revs and then kick in again randomly.. sometimes they die altogether and sometimes they just randomly misfire

i was having a similar problem mate, except mine didn't get that bad!

i just change the entire throttle body switch everything for a lower mileage one, and it has made a world of difference, fingers crossed no problems since...
