Bought the car back in July 06 for a largeish some of money from Roo, after i wrote my rover off into a tree...

Bought the car looking like this:

Pic2.jpg

Since i bought the car, i've had the engine bay rewelded as the chassis legs and engine mounts were all but off the car! :?

Since then, i have been doing little bits here and there to make it my own.

I have put the original mirrors back on, a standard black grill, and added the badges. Also removed the rear wiper and added headlight protectors :D

Done a few small bits to the engine and bay, mainly just cleaning it up, polishing a few bits here and there...

Next few mods to add are my manifold, and new intercooler, audi pepperpots and replace the suspension (when i decide what to get)

Anyway i hope you all like it and i will be at as many shows as i can get to next year in it. If not then we will be in my lasses Mk2 Golf.

Well as so many people are changing their wheels for winter i thought i would post mine up!

My 14s are almost bald and I'm look at selling them next year as i have my 15s to fit, so i wasnt going to pay for new tyres on them... anyway, a quick call to all the local scrappys and i have myself a lovely set of semi rusty 13" steels with good tyres for the massive some of £40!

Trip the the local motor factors and a nice tin of Yellow spray paint (£4.50) and i now have a lovely set of wheels for my G over winter!

What do you all think?? and yes i know my car needs a wash but its been raining here when i have any spare time! :p

People just dont seem to get that they are a bit of fun for the winter! :(

ACK! Is that the only photo of my golf you had?? Could have used a recent one lol

Anyways, mk3 polo headlight protectors are from www.formula4.co.uk if you haven't found out already.

25.45 plus 5 pounds for posting :)

Regarding my no.plate, a friend also thought it would be funny to stick and N between the U and T :p

Well winters over (or its ment to be soon) so i finally pulled my finger out and I'm getting my new wheels sorted.

Bought these at E38 last year for the massive sum of £40. Woo!!

Since then i've stripped them, and sorted the chips in the rim out, see below:

audi8.jpg

audi7.jpg

Bought two hub adapters as i wasnt sure they would fit the G, so best not waste £250 on them, they turned up yesterday so today i trial fitted them, and they fit Woo!!!! (just)

Rear:

Front:

Now just to buy the other two adapters and tyres... and decide if i paint or polish them....

Iain.

Well i got my wheels sprayed, only in silver as i wasn't sure if they were going to fit so didnt want to go wild on them incase i needed to sell them.

Anyway, yesterday i had my tyres fitted, so was able to finally try them on the car and see if they would catch!!

They sit far to close on the nearside rear so I'm borrowing a mates arch roller and I'm gonna make then fit!!

Just got the centre caps to finish now that i know they are going on the car. So fingers crossed they will be finally fitted to the car at the weekend :D

What do you guys think??

Little bit of info on them, as i cant remember if i said above!

They are 15x6" ET38 Audi Pepperpots, 20mm H&R Adaptors making the wheels ET18 all round!! Wrapped in lovely 165/50/15 Bridgestones :D

Also does anyone know of any other MK3 Polos with the same wheels fitted??

Lookin very nice on the pepperpots there, suit your car very well

i really like them mate, i wanted them on my valver, although i couldnt be arsed with the extra stud hassle.

they suit your car really nice.

looks wicked mate, have had a set of these to put on mine for a while just waiting for the adapters 8-)

how low is it mate?

  • Author

Its lowered 60/60.

Have finished my centres so just the archs to sort and i got an arch roller yesterday so will be doing my arches this week if its not rainin. Then get them fitted.

I cant wait as i've had them so long now!!

Car looks stunning mate nice work, wheels really set it off an dont look to big atall. I think they look good without the centre cap actually.

Not to fussed about the front splitter but thats just my opinion.

oh an the roof rack is fooking pimp 8-)
