Hey was just wondering if this alloy can be refurbed or is it too far gone to be worth the bother? also how much would it cost for a refurb on that?

Went to view these today and i could get them for 130 but with this damage I'm wondering if its money wasted please help.

If i was in your shoes I'd probably walk away, my concern with that kind of damage is whether on not the wheel is buckled in which case getting it straightened and balanced again can be tricky. I know the wheel place i use can straighten wheels and do a bloody good job of doing so, but i'd never personally feel comfortable driving on a set that had been bent up previously.

£130 also sounds a bit steep in my book for a set with one wheel in that state. Standard refurb would probably set you back around £40 a wheel so your looking at £160 as a rough guide. As i said i'd probably walk away but its entirely your decision. If you want any further advice feel free to pm and i'd try and get some pics of the rest of the set to see if its just one that has been badly damaged.

Yeah Looking at those and at that price I don't think it is worth it. I dont think they are anything special in the wheel department (like rare BBS's or something like that) so paying that price plus a refurb at £40 per wheel which is standard price you are getting up to the £300 mark. So reparing that wheel and dealing with the chance that it could be buckled as well I don't think it is worth it.

Esp when you can get brand new wheel and tyre sets at Halfords for the same price..
