I see

My 6N has a badly chipped headlight lens (original unit) which is likely to be an MOT failure.

It's a motorised height adjustable unit and I spotted a replacement DEPO unit on ebay. Cost about £45 for a single unit.

It arrived all bright and shiny and looked a good match externally but when I looked to match it up, I noticed it was quite a lot more bulky than the original and the power connections were very different.

The kick in the gonads was when I went to unclip the bulb cover, it snapped clean off in my hand due to very cheap nasty plastic build quality. I'm about to grumble at the seller but I won't be asking for a replacement.

I'm left with a choice of:

a) breakers yard

b) someone on the forums selling their lights

c) replacing with pair of aftermarket units

I want to keep the height adjustment which REALLY limits my options......but I won't be buying DEPO.

Hope that helps.

Those are InPro IIRC?

Depo makes all sorts of standard lights.

no they make the projector ones as well

hence me saying i have them...

Whats wrong with how the standard ones look? I look at all these aftermarket lights in the same way i do lexus lights, cheap and nasty! Angel eyes should only be on BMW's or you just look like a chav.

hence me saying i have them...

Foxie what size bulbs do they take. Also do they have electronic adjust and how is the left hand drive beam on it does it throw too much light to the right or is it more centred?

Cheers,

Mahbs

Thanx for the comment but each to their own, nothing wrong with standard 1s but some people like angle eyes dont make them chav!

they take H7's and have electric adjust (so they're 7pin)

the beam is allover the place tbh but i've adjusted them as best i can and it doesnt seem to blind many people!

they have manual ajusting pins on them left right and up and down on each unit. but there a right bitch to ajust. i think mine are OK ISH. dunno what I'm gunna do mot time though. I'm hoping they can tape them up abit so its not going 1 way??
