6n disc size, golf mk2 calipers?

Hi, was just wondering what size the front discs are on a 6n 1.4 16v? and if calipers from a mk2 golf gti 8v (239mm) would make any difference, cheers Glynn

The 8V calipers are no good as the carrier is cast into the upright. I'm sure the 16V caliper (256mm) does bolt to the 6N upright.
