What width and offset are the wheels?

Also 17s might be a bit of a mission to fit without archwork, most people go for 13s-16s at the most.

stick with 16s max... dont boss do 16s as well?

i wouldnt recommend them at all, but 17" alloys do fit on 6n polos. there were a set on my old polo when i bought it. they fit fine but it throws the idea of lowering the car out the window.

i was looking at putting 17" on mine but there isnt anything with a close enough rolling diameter 16" are pos but tyres will be expensive 15" are easiest they run 195 45 15 and are about the same price as a 195 50 15

Alrite so if i want it lowered go for 16's the width of the alloy that i was going to get was 205 i think. http://www.potn.co.uk/p1037808.htm thats the url to were i was going to buy them from. anyone know any nice 16's that are nice lol. i want black wheel with either a red rim or silver deep dish or not depens how nice they are lol

205 is the width of the tyre... the alloys are you main issue. You need a 16x 6.5" or 7" wide alloy with an appropriate off-set, ie 30mm.

On that size of alloy you want to run a 195/40-16 tyre. 205s are too wide at 45 profile, it'll will mean a larger rolling radius and your speedo will under read, ie 30mph on speedo but 33mph in reality.... *Flash* there's 3 points and £60 fine.

Stick to these size tyres or slightly less

195/45-15"

195/40-16"

:)
