heeeeelp please, my 96 6n has a horribly annoying problem , when you hold the steering at full lock the car starts to lose engine speed and stalls ,its making parking a nitemare ,can someone shed some light on this problem as its really annoying.

I'm guessing the idle is maybe too low, so when load is applied to the PAS pump the engine stalls?

possibly the power steering pressure switch, it signals the ecu to raise the rpm slightly to compensate when on full lock.Will need to double check that that model actually has one though!!!!

it idles bang on 900rpm so i imagine it must be a compensator that has failed if it has one

you are needle should just hover under the 100rpm line u will hear the engine rev a bit or judder but that should be all should be cutting out
