before and after.........

Featured Replies

hi all,

well, my suspension arrived for the polo, (courtesy of jackson tuning) and i also got the side skirts and arch pieces this weekend when i trecked down to essex, unfortunately the guy i was gonna get the drivers door off wasnt around so i couldnt pick that up,(but if you look at the pics you'll see how i've cunningly hidden the dent..... lol) p.s. dent not my own work, (previous owner 91 and semi blind...) anyway, i got the wheels out off my old e30 beemer and wrapped them in some brand new 185/45/15's......

so below is my progress.....comments more than welcome if you like or dont like, cheers :D

oh and still, if anyone in the n.w. area has a drivers door in ^^^^ that colour, please let me know, or ill be getting a white one and have to spray it... :D

hock damn that looks nice, i just think the wheel looks slightly too large

Looks really good, huge improvement on the original! It's different to see such big wheels but I think they work, make the car look more 'grown up' I think, especially as it's a saloon.

The arch trims too make a big improvement, not to mention the lowerage!

Cant help bu think the wheels are abiiit big..but ir you are happy thats kool

Nice work

do the wheels touch on full lock?

looks nice - but i really think that 14" wheels of the same type will make it look a lot better!

Yeah looks better with the trim on. I'm not sure of the wheels either, maybe large wheels will grow on me :) look alright though.

are they large wheels? my nissans on 18's so they look tiny to me haha.

but thanks for the comments everyone, i already had the wheels you see otherwise i might have gone for 14's but seemed a shame not to make use of these wheels :D

thanks for the feedback everyone :D

wayne.

oh, and no it doesnt scrub on full lock. mind you iu only have me in it so i cant vouch for scrubbing at the rear when passengered up......

ill let you all know after i have a full car, its only my commuter you see so very rare i have anyone in it....

looks really nice! I think the wheels will look spot on once it's settled a bit, please upgrade your brakes from those scary girling things though...VWI or VWII calipers, disks and pads for the win!

that looks niiiiiice :)

i actualy realy like those old beemer wheels... and want them on my mk4!!

love it i think the wheels work very well

Aww i love mk2 classics, the wheels look crazy big for some reason?! Out of proportion

I'm with the people that think the wheels are too big, you need some 14s or 13s under there

looks nice. i want those headlight on my saloon. think they look cool. but as people have said the wheels do look to big. but as you said, you already had them.

Very nice, keep up the good work, looks mint :-D

thats proper sweet dude...only i think the wheels are a little on the large size.

8-)

i get the feeling everyone thinks it would look better on smaller wheels lol, i actually wanted the bbs rm's (i think they're called) with the polished lip, but as these are similar thought they'd do for now, you see, as pictured in my avatar i also have another car which is at present having new engine bits etc, so once thats done ill look into replacing the wheels and having it repainted, same colour only to freshen it up,,,,

fitted my stereo now too, the whole 3 speakers haha! though i am fitting my sub for a little bass, and somehow going to incorporate another speaker up front, i dont like butchering interiors so i have used all the standard fitments up to now, but i think I'm gonna have to custom build some type of add on to fit some more sound up front,

thanks again for the comments everyone, glad you all like it :)

when my other one comes back from essex ill get some pictures of the pair of them together,

however, this is the other one, in case anyone was wondering :D

jdm nissan silvia k's aero, full drift spec...:D :D

Have you tried drifting it yet, because it seems I see a lot of people saying their cars are full drift spec and then they drive it like a granny's Micra. It'd be a shame to put such a car to waste

  • Author

i have and it does, 2 way diff, proper drift spec, everythings adjustable etc, very good fun :D

i have a few videos of it... ill have to load them onto my computer :D

rachmk2 will like your drifter nissan, shes well into them

the wheels dont look too bad, are they 15 x 6.5J, if they are vw stamped in the centre tehy are BBS RJ's and if so i have a set of centre caps for them :p

should be at the nwvag meet on tuesday if your interested in them

  • Author

they are off a bmw e30.... so I'm not sure what they are,

i'd hoped to get to the meet on tuesday but I'm busy from 8 till half nine, unless it goes on till after then?

if so ill take a late drive down, I'm only round the corner form it really.....oh, and yeah they are that size :D

Nice Saloon!

Looks tidy with the arch trims on.

cheers buddy,

prefer the colour of yours though, i'd considered getting mine resprayed something different from red but that wont be for a while yet.....plus, the body got all its original bangs and dents etc at the moment and i kinda like that about it.....strangely enough lol.
