I'm pretty new to polos but certainly not to cars. just thought id post a few pics of my polo. i bought it a few weeks ago and shes pretty rough but i'll be doing alot of work to her so i dont mind. i got the car the way it is atm and i've fitted coilovers but no pics yet as i took them on my phone and its messing about. so enjoy :p lol

What was up with the drivers side door?!

a friend of mine owned it before me and he sprayed the door (and done a crap job) and didn't lacquer it so its very rough. probably worse than 80grit sand paper to be honest. need to get hold of a passenger door to because its been hit. it had cut springs in it when i got it but with the coilovers its alot lower. for £200 its not bad. full toad alarm in it installed 6months ago. he was stuck for money

Right folks bit of an update for yous. Fitted a 280mm Momo Team steering wheel to the Polo a few weeks ago.

I also purchased some wheels before christmas and finally got some tyres on them yesterday. below are a few teaser pics of what's to come. i'll post up the finished pics when i spray her sometime this week. just need to get my rear bumper sorted first.

Whats she drive like with a 280mm momo wheel? i was thinking of getting one of them but was worried about

a. Seeing the dials

b. too small?

Coz they do a 300mm dont they?

cheers folks. the single wiper is the standard one moved round. 280mm is great. feels nice and can see all the clocks. yea they do a 300mm but get the 280 wheels shall be revealed soon :p they definatly aren't too big. they only 14". as for the airbag, plenty of old cars never had them. wear you are seatbelt and u'll be fine :p

yeah i reckon we could be bigger than the edition38 lads i was gona go for 8's all round but i like my staggered dish. but i'll have the fronts well spaced dont worry. i'm itching to get my back bumper so can start spraying. i'm also quite surprised by the attention its receiving on here. its just my wee shit heap i bought to work on :p

What et are them 8`s? mine are et15 but dont stick out that far

Id probs get 20mm spacers if you want the 7`s to fill the arch too, mine are a little tucked on the front, i want some 5mm on there i think

My 8's at et15 too. your polo obviously just isn't as cool as mine :p the 7's are et23 because when i ordered them the Steffan factory had run outa et15. i'll be spacing them at least 20mm but for the mean time I'm getting away with it by running the nose down stance
