Haha. Thanks. Epic reaction.

Hopefully very soon. The plan this week is to:

Remake the brake lines a lot neater in copper,

buff the paint in the bay,

fit the engine,

go up country and lift my new manifold, hub/brake set up and fit it,

and custom mount my top fill radiator in the front panel.

Sounds like a lot but ain't really. Esp after all the shite I've already done.

I'll be ready the week before UD at this rate. I can almost hear it now lol

Connor

can't mind the name. its something magenta. picked it off a chart just.

Thanks everyone.

Right bita fab work today. Paddy gimmie his old 106 radiator to use as it's a top fill one so mounted it in the front panel.

Rubber mounted it with grommets at the bottom and bolted at the top.

I flatted it with 1500 and 2000paper then buffed it.

Ok thankfully a big enough update.

During the week I painted the bay again as I wasn't happy with it (and thought I could do with a bit more pressure :p) got it flatted down tonight and buffed.

Also got the brake lines made up and bolted together with the exception of 2 6inch bits going to the rear which I'm doing in the morning.

Today I met Col and got my Stainless steel manifold, 16v driver side engine mount and 16v hubs, discs and calipers. Top man to deal with (Y)

After a like of Hammerite/satin black the hubs and brakes/mount now look like this:

and compared to the old discs:

and the manifold like this:

Also the night we polished a few bits while waiting between coats:

Tomorrow's plans are to clean the plastic cover on the bulk head, drop the engine in, bolt the hubs and suspension back in and whatever else i can do.

Ok, Update time again:

Next I gave the mastercylinder a good clean up:

Then I decided to buff the new manifold:

And make myself a washer fluid bottle seeing as I can't get one small enough:

Best bit was getting Brian to wax the new paint. 3 coats of Swissax and Autoglym I think and bolting the black bits in. The engine will be lifted in tomorrow morning (Y)
