fronts go straight in but you have to mod the rears. not a big mod tho, just pull off the round tabs/clips on the bottom of the lower bench and then that will go in.

then the back section you have to remove the metal base and put you are standard on in its place, (so basically just swap cloth and foam from the vr seats on to the polo base then it will go straight in :) will only take you 20min max to do full interior :)

Ok I haven't updated in a few days.

Bolted up the new hubs, brakes, coilovers etc.

I picked up a vr6 cloth interior. Well happy with it but needs a good hoovering. You can see the dust sitting on it.

Next up we finally got the engine in

then the shiney manifold

Painted up the dogbone mount and Lee fitted it (after a hell of a lot of hassle)

Next we bolted on the front panel and the rocker cover

Dropped the car down and forget to adjust the coilovers

Also have the fuel lines run. You can see them poking out of the bay infront of the driver's side strut.

Ok so I started doing a bit of the wiring myself :S :S

Got all the wiring up to the scuttle panel:

Also Lee lifted my manifold from Newry after having it aluminium welded. Came out pretty well. Just needa shorten the tubes:

Next the radiator was plumbed up. Cos of the 106 rad I had to bring the bottom pipe across the front:

Ok so knowing I wasn’t gona make UD in time due to some vvv bad luck I started fitting body panels again and the contrast is even more noticeable :p

Lee painted the bumper bar and mounted the battery tray and battery in the boot and ran the leads down the car into the bay.

After the bike fuel pump I got being ****ed I got this fuel pressure reg to run the standard pump and reduce it to whatever pressure I want. Not how I wanted to do it but sure:

Also got the engine etc earthed and the car’s turning over fine. Carbs are being fitted today while I’m doing CW in uni so hopefully she’ll fire up tonight.

If your on about the pic below then the manifold wasn't bolted in and the carbs weren't attached. Just a rough idea of how they'd look. The manifold is alot shorter now for a start and will sit at the proper angle when on. I'll try get pics up tonight.

Ahh ok.. as it looks like the pic of the manifold it is designed to make the carbs come off the head horizontally. I've found the pipes can just be straight coming off the head (90 degrees to the head) due to the angle of the engine makes the carbs sit at the perfect angle for the float chambers.

Ok so progress slowed a bit due to me being skint the last while.

I got the car running on the GPZ carbs then had to change them for ones with overflows so I ended up with 1979 CB900 carbs. I have no pics of them atm but these are the same:

I made myself a blanking plate for the EGR valve as the carbs have done away with the valve. I might remake it in stainless steel some time:

I treated the new engine to some new oil/filters/plugs:

Then I decided to clean up the backs of the headlights as they'd be on show with the bonnet up/off. Doing this I decided I didn't like the grey/cream finished plastic so I did this:

I'm currently waiting on 4 float valves to finish rebuilding my carbs then I've to replace the windscreen and throw it through MOT.

Ok so I got the carb bits and fitted them. Turns out they weren't the problem. It's the float valve seats and they can't be changed so back to square one and looking for new carbs ffs!!!

Well seeing as the Polo doesn't want to be on the road atm I needed something to drive that wasn't the vtec Rover so I bought this:

She's a '91 1.3 Ryder, 93k, exterior is a bit scabby but nothing that'll be hard to tidy up, interior is very good (needs a good hoover).

Came with big bumpers, fogs, MTX speakers, cd player, arch trims, coilovers, and other bits and pieces. Gona throw the Polo wheels on for the mean time and use and abuse it lol.
