Well finally got my Polo done altho it didnt turn out exactly to plan :p the original colour was to be audi TT white but 2days befroe painting it i decided to do this for a laugh and everyone seems to love it :p

The spec is:

smoothed 16V front bumper

16V rear bumper

smoothed door handle recess and side repeaters

black leather roof

badgeless grill

coilovers

14x7 and 14x8 Steffan BCWs (et23 and et15)

smoothed boot

6n2 (facelift) rear lights

de-wipered

painted matte army green

plans are:

flared arches

do something with the mirrors

space the front wheels and fit rear camber shims

Last Sunday night i started stripping the car and finished it this morning for the NS Dubs meet

quality, colour code the wheels, u could rat that right up, looks puka dude, i think that some standard polo steels but banded would WORK on this car down 2 a t.

BTW get yourself a 16v splitter or GTI splitter 8v is to short :p

and also, with the respray...does that mean the inside of your bonnet is still red? or did you remove the engine and do the whole lot? (not being picky...just wondering, incase i want to respray in the future)

What you mean exactly about smoothened door handle recess? The oval / circular bit, how to you grab the handle?? I'm conflustered...

Does your single wiper still wipe the whole screen, know you said its the standard one but how was it changed to be centred??

@ p20DUB - i found out the 8v is too short :p iv a 6n2 gti one ordered anyway

@ grant - the roof was done my myself and my dad. same with every other part of the car. my engine bay isnt done because this was done quickly as a joke but i'll do the bay when doin the car properly

@ max - yea the TT white paint is in my garage so if i fancy a change is mask her up and get spraying.lol

@ 1st cars a polo - we have loads of the paint. we use it on our bikes and trikes (thing army green porsche trike wheelying up the m1:D) it was done with a compressor. i took the handles off, filled the recess then put he handles back on. still easy to open. i'll fire up pics if u like.
