i think the brown is earth, the blue and grey is for dash lights got that working, and the black and white wire is live, but where can i plug that in?

Edited by JoshPow

could you not just put the live to another live like radio or something? and not use the plug, just wire it up yourself.

i tried that and it doesn't seem to work, it was plugged in on top of the relay pack thing.

have you tried a straight feed to the battery?

help

Try speaking to Christian6N, he was extremely helpful when I spoke to him about the wiring for my Votex foglights. He's a wealth of information on Polo wiring, and may be able to point you to a redundant part of the loom which may be for the heated seats (I think it was an option on the 6N on the continent).

yer it's a option on there i got to try and find the switchs to fit down by the electric windows.

Yeah thanks for the Flowers 6Newan. 8-)

OK, in the past i manufactured some complete wirelooms for the lhd drive mk4 for its heated seats.

For that i wrote an instalationinstruction with MSWord. I found it now on my big HDD and copied the Pics and translated the text.

So this is the instalationinstruction for the heated seats wireloom mk4 from 5/95 with the newer centralelectricbox (also with newer dialstype) once written for the LHD polo, but i think it is all the same on the rhd Polo.... (i hope so)

So the Initial situation is the wireloom like the Golf mk3 and the older Polos till 5/97 have.

seatheater1.jpg

With this centralelectricbox it is not easy to pluy&play Interieur from the generation Golf mk3 (TransporterT4, Passat 35i Facelift and all from this Generation with all the same Centralelectrics and main power supply).

Now u have the three connectors which would fit perfectly plug into the centralelectricbox from the "older" polos and i show u where to connect them with the main power supply of the "newer" polos.

Take all parts away in front of the centralelectricbox and the fusebox.

Then it must look like this here:

seatheater2.jpg

Now u see all the smaller wirelooms connected to all the different coloured connectors in the centralelectricbox.

Now the white connector (Name is T10) is very interesting 4 u.

seatheater3.jpg

Pin Number 5 has a black/yellow wire which has ignitioncurrent fused with the right fuse as if u would have got heated seats from factory on.

So from you are 3 connectors the wire with the small green connectorhousing... this wire has to be connected with this black/yellow wire and then it is as good as it gets.

The brown wire is earth and u have to find a wire which is complete brown... the best place is beside the driverseat.... where all the wires goes from the front to behind the seats and into the back of the polo... there is a big brown wire in the loom where a couple of other smaller single brown wires are connected.. there is one earthdistributerepoind in the wireloom... thats where u have to connect the brown earthwire from the heated seats.

And the last one is the grey connectorhousing from you are wireloom...... look if it is long enough to reach the lightswitchconnector.

In the connector onm PIN 1 is a grey/blue wire which is for the Potential 58b which is the illuminationcurrent.

With this wire u have to connect you are grey/blue wire with the grey connectorhousing.

Now you are "older" wireloom is connected as in the current flow diagram and fused as in the current flow diagram with fuse "S11" with 15Ampere. So when everything works and u pull fuse 11 the seatheaters can not work any longer.. that means everything is fine and all righty.

Hmmm.... yeah, hope u understand everything i wrote.....

If there are some other questions --> ASK!!!!

cheers

Christian
