I do have a GT steering wheel that standard steering wheel was on it just to move the car out the garage

And whats wrong with the big tacho

Well why would you want two rev counters? It's not as if you need to make much use of the standard one anyway.

To fix the big hole am going to use some pvc pipe and expanding builders foam so that way the breather pipe can still be used on the tank still.

Don't use builder's foam. Charlie, Karl, and to a lesser extent myself dug no end out of my mk1, and it had all been holding moisture on the metal leading to, you've guess it, more holes!

Ford made the same mistake on the last Cortinas. They filled the front wings with expanding foam to cut down road noise. The catch is, this turned the wings into giant sponges. I remember taking the wings off our old ones and they must have weighed about 5 stone each due to all the water they were holding, very little of the weight was the remaining metal.

I only used expanding foam as a as a chep fix untill I have more money to do it propery

Now I know your completely duh! But yes I see your point, however your only seeing the photo, the actual counter on the dash is not that big and I did ask the same question why 2 and not 1.

but sat nav is a good thing. dose he all ready have that? but if its wos me i wood just stick with the one on the dash. there is not much point having 2 if thay both read the same..

No I don't think they read the same, one being analogue the other digital I think - best ask him. Also the only sat bav he has is an AA Road Map, some of us find streets and roads the old fashioned way, more fun that way....

i disagree. when ever i go down south which thank god is not very often i need a sat nav to get round the fucking place. ill use one to get around birmingham when we go to the rolling road cos its a nightmare.

fair enough around your home area a map should be sufficient but travelling to an unknown place like the south where there is no free space bigger than a car parking space youve just gotta have one....

Getting round London or Birmingham must be a nightmare, personally I think that's a fault of public transport. But thats another issue that had my blood boiling over. Sat nav is handy there if you have a decent one that works and doesn't tell you to drive through garages and gardens or wrong way on one way sreets.

I thought the reason for the second rev counter was because he had an 8k chip fitted and the dash clocks only go up to 7k?

Fuck me if my 2nd rev counter bothers that many folk on here than all take it off
