Definately Admiral... If you can get round the dodgy Indians the other end of the phone anyway.

The main thing with Admiral/Elephant is to ring in the day time, when I was with them, the Indian call centre didn't kick in til 6pm.

Same thing happened to me. i was pretty pissed off, just tried to keep happy as being moody wasnt going to get me any cheaper insurance! Still haven't found a better quote for next year, 1212 on quinn, with lowering declared. Ensleigh seems good though!

Actually, good tip for everyone... try www.moneysupermarket.com for a good selection of quoatations.

The cheapest on there was £120 less than my best quote.

Hi new to this forum but i got my insurance for a '99 T reg 5dr 1.4CL polo through swift cover. Who for me were by far the cheapest, also try concidereing Zurich they offer free RAC cover with there insurance.

Mines with CIS.

Named driver. Main driver has TT99 conviction, 1 non fault claim, no NCB. Me 21 (20 at time of taking out), 1 fault accident. Fully comp about £800 on P reg 1.4L Polo.

Might sound quite steep but the next cheapest I could get with my details was 1800 with '4 young drivers' and the rest were averaging at around £2000!

Admiral also offer you a '10 month accelerator policy', where they only insure you for the 10 months but will provide you with a years no claims at the end (assuming you don't actually make a claim) which is just what young drivers need!

Also, I wouldn't really trust moneysupermarket.com and all them - they are ok for rough ideas but you really need to shop around all the insurers own websites to get the best prices.

Churchill and Direct Line are also pretty good too! Good luck!

With Quinn you dont have to declare mods that dont improve performance, or they dont increase your premium

so wheels, coilies etc are covered for free basically

If you are modding brentacre- do what you like at no extra charge.

If it is standard, or just has a few bits (alloys/sus maybe) then try elephant, or diamond.

To be honest you will get a million different references, seems to be random who gets good quotes off what companies.

Mines up for Renewal as well, got a pretty good renewal quote from HIC with Highways but going to quickly try a few more miles, so far I can't find cheaper though...

I'm pretty annoyed about my insurance atm with the poor customer servise, i rang up just now to see what insurance would be like on another car, got two quotes, and when i asked to get another quote they told me no they were to busy! and they wanted to charge me £140 more to insure a 205 gti which has 20bhp less then my current car! brentacre BTW
