Removed my bump strips today and gotta say I'm very impressed with end result. For anyone thinkin of doin this get it done so easy and looks really well. Took me 30mins - few pics below enjoy

Damn i wanna do this, but theres so many clumsy and inconsiderate tits at my college and in car parks in general!!! Looks well good though, convincing as anything to do it!

alot of cars actaully miss thre strip altogether though soi woudl just go for it... and when you park in a car park park next to a clean car (hopefully because they care for their ca and wont hit yours) or on the other side of the carpark :-D

how do they come off ? surely u need to smooth underneath the strips ? ... are there no pin holes or anything ? ... andy

No, they are just held on with adhesive, same as the rear badges.

yeah I've removed mine and still got one side of glue left to remove! its a joke and so miuch efoort how did it take you 30minutes?? i used petrol to get one soide off but that sitll took some hard time and work! tell me if theres a quiker way I'm dreding doing the other side!

its the same on mk3s, the strips are held one my some adhesive strips. Warm em up with an air gun and peel away. No holes or anything.

ok, but if i took mine off, sanded them and sprayed them, what is the best stuff to glue them back on properly ?

any help would be super. :)

if you do thatgetting thm off without spraining the plastic can be hard...i say do it but fit mk5 ones that are sprayed...thay lie much flatter and five a nice oem look!

the mk5 ones are clipped on to mk5's but u snip of the clips and source some double sided adhesive tape and refit.

ok, thanks for the help i think i will give it a go soon, and refit mk5 ones that are sprayed properly.
