Basically I can get a brand new set of 165/55s for £100 delivered and I was wondering how they sit on 13x7.5 rims? I know it's a fair old stretch but is it going to be stupid?

I'm sure the streach wouldnt be too much diffrent to the 15" 165's have a look at the thread on here mate for those ..

You would be better off using 175/50-13, but 195/45 is defenitely the only safe alternative

i had a set of 165/55 r14s stretched over a set of 14" bbs wheels that were meant to be 6.5j wide but when measured were 7j and they looked pretty stretched. the car handled well but i was always a bit nervous about bombing into corners. i would go for 175/50s if i wer you. i know they are a lot more money but i think they are worth it.
