13x8 et 15

Featured Replies

As title, will be stretching a tyre to avoid tread/arch issues, but I'm not too hot on offsets and just wanted to confirm these will fit okay!

A quick Yes or No will suffice.

Thanks.

depends how low your going mate, but my 15x7 with ET 28 are VERY close to the arches, with 175/50s streched

13x 8 matey, its only down 40/50 so i can't see any problems with arch contact... Really just wanted to know whether I'm gona need archwork to fit them.

I was just trying to give you an idea on widths and offsets matey ;)

at 40/50 you'll be fine as far as arch contact goes, but the tread might stick out past the arch on the front, back should be ok

Haha no problems, thought perhaps you had misread the et15 and thought they were 15x8 haha...

hmm i wonder if the stretch on a 175/50 will be enough... May need to source some 7's if so :-(

I think 175 will be enough stretch..

IMO 175/50 on a 7 is a nice strech, they look good but i can still give the GT stick and they feel fine, dunno how they'd be on an 8 though...

I meant enough to keep tread inside the arch! Might have to get the wheels and mount them to check how it fits.

Anyone in the members gallery running them? Guess you would have already checked tbh

165/50's on a 8 is mad stretch looks awsome tho.

they will stick out as there et 15 but maybe not touch you are achres unless u go 60mm pluss

i think with 175/50 they will stick out of the arches mate, tbh they probably would with 165/50 too, if they would even stay on long enough to find out!

I had 6-13 ET 12 with 175/50-13 on Coilovers, and it rubbed like mad.

You need to roll the arches to pull this off, and please use Dunlop SP9000 195/45-13

I now use 8-13 ET 18 with 175/50-13 (no 195/45 where available from any suppliers when I bought them) and have no rubbing with rolled arches. I'm down roughly 70mm on KW v1

Here's a few pics, they stick out quite a bit

Why do you suggest a 195/45 over 175/50 mate? Just out of interest? I know the SP9000 to be a fantastic tyre, but you said youre now using 175/50's... Less stretch?

My 175/50-13 is actually quite wide, and did not give as much stretch as I had feared. In Germany 175/50-13 is banned on anything wider than 6,5x13 because they have popped off on several occations. Also, when looking at the tyres and meassuring them, the 195/45-13 is actually only 4-5mm wider, and is built to stretch, so much safer. That 4-5 mm is 2-2,5mm on each side. You can hardly notice that.

Also remember when using a 195/45-13 on a 8-13 rim, the VR rated tyres effective rating is only HR and the effective load rating 10% lower than what is noted on the tyre (if your camber setting is withing factory spec)
