I'm thinking about changing the engine in mk 1.4cl in 5-6 months. i wanted to do a 16v conversion but was reading another post and read that a G40 is not that hard. I'm thinking about doing this and gettng my uncle who is a mechanic to do it all. i was wondering if it is a hard conversion and if it will be worth it.

also

what would need doing to the car in order for the G40 engine to fit, i know one of the engine mounts has to be changed any other things?

Well i have spent the last 2 week putting one in my seat ibiza..

THe mounts on the seat there was 1 on the front og the gearbox one on the back of the gearbox and 1 at the very back of the sump which had a perfect fitment for my orinal seat mount. I've changed 2 of the mounts on the engine but both mount fitted stright on to the g40 engine so all togther I've fitted it in without making any custom mounts

He has done the same conversion to his MK4.
