was driving along i could hear some screeching eventually got louder and louder. once stopped at an started to drive it stopped any ideas what it is people thanks

It may well have been something trivial like a small stone caught in the brakes or something, this happened to me yesterday! Might well be other possible causes, just a bit of first hand reassurance there!

jus a nutha thing the passenger side wheel squeaks when turning steering left when car is warm sprayed DW40 but no luck any help there

Nope, cant be of any help there, but your first problem does sound suspiciously like the stone mentioned above. Hope its gets resolved!

i had a screeching noise on my drivers side of the golf whizzed it the garage and the chepo pads had snapped!, they must have been buggered

i dont think break are snapped breaking on them are fine. driven it no noise yet

hmmm sometimes if your tyres screech on corners it will be down to the tracking being out but in this case i'm not too sure that will be your problem!

A build up of brake dust could be the culpret?

or

A worn wheel baring?

or

any of the above suggestions?

Time to get the hands dirty & take the wheel off to investigate.....
