I'm pretty sure it has to be in the persons name on the v5, there a bloodly pain in the arse I'm having to take mine of cos gettin a new car and its costing 105quid, bloodly rip off in my eyes :(

£105 to get it transfered?! f*cking hell!

tho i wont be changing my car for another 2 years or so, so il worry about that then.

:-)

its normally 80quid but i gota put it on rentention cos i aint found a gti yet so its another 25quid robbin hey, plus it takes roughly 2-3weeks to take it off

My mother paid for my plate, but the car is registered to me. So No, you can buy them and then register them with your dad's V5.

you have to give the name of the perosn whos name is on the V5 document, and then the cardholders details. it can be 2 different people
