Any pics of black roofs on dragon green?

I'm thinking of getting smooth black roof when i get the other bits of body work sorted...

Personally I only think it'll work if you don't smooth the roof, that way there is osmething breaking up the black and green. If you smooth it in you will have to make a join and it never looks quite as good. I did it on my Polo and it looked crap at the joint. Hard to decide where to put it. This was on a mk3 though.

totally agree. smooth the ariel out.. get some 6n2 roof rails.. paint roof & rails black.. getta 6n2 front screen.

only way to do it imo. works better on a light painted car tho.. better contrast.

p.s. sorry.. not seen a green with black roof.. mayb someone could photoshop it 4 you.

hope this makes sense..

6n2 roof rails fit differently on the screen from the rubber ones on a 6n. if u change to the hard plastic type as on the 6n2 on a 6n it leaves a big gap in the top corner of the screen.

6n screen is curved at the top corners.

6n2 isnt.

....its all in the detail.

I would be smoothing the aerial and maybe the roof rails too if i was to get it done.

Just need some pics to see what it looks like on this colour...

someone on here (other than poundie) has done it, it was neales old dragon green mk4, looked pretty good

why dont you cream or white the roof? (youd need a retrim to go with it though lol)

As I'm getting a few bits re-sprayed i thought i might get the roof done at the same time b'cos i know the guy sorting it all out so it wouldnt cost that much

Ok dude, Reasons i sprayed mine black was because my handles are black, my blanking plates were black and i was gonna get my centre rims done in black, but the main reason was i HATE sunroofs with a passion, every photo of my car from above just looks shit cos of the fucking sunroof, so thought a black roof might blend it out...
