16V Idle Issues.

Featured Replies

I'm having issues with the idle. The car starts fine, I'm watching the rev counter, and goes off on its way to idle, at around 500/600 rpm, it stuters for around a second then finally gets up too the normal 1000rpm idle. It only does it when its cold, i wondered if other 16v owners have this issue?

Sometimes it feels like its not going to make it... but it does.

Also the other day, when cold, it stalled at a junction with no reason, its only ever done it once.

I'm not worried about it, but it is quite annyoing.

I remeber along time ago there was sticky thread about 16V idle issues, was in the days when Robin had his silver 16V, but i never read it cause owning a 16V was a pipe dream then. Is that thread still around?

Also something about 16V ECU's issues?

Thanks in advance.
