coilovers are big money

chopped springs are a bit ghey

get a full matched spring and damper kit. think 60/40 is a good lowering. ie 60mm at front, 40 rear 8-)

i can reccomend philj (jackson tuning)shocks and springs for a mk2 running his sets on both my mk2s with a 60/40 but the rears are adjustable to 60mm the same as the front. There also great value for money shocks and springs for £145 delivered if i remember right

heres the mrs mk2 on 14s and phills shocks and spring 60/40 with the back set to 60mm to give you an idea
