my FPOS runabout

Featured Replies

well i was driving a sunny sr and had an incident....a friend of mine stopped on a bad bend,it was blind and he parked in the middle of the road due to a drunk hitch hiker.....then i came round the corner and scelped his arse :-(

so i had a limited budget....

got this to see me through the winter.....looking for a big power car when my insurance is due so this is nice and economical etc to help me save a few pennies....

a bit barry and not my scene at all tbh but it was cheap, had a whack of mot and tax and i know il make my money back on bits when the mot s due.....besides i got some good alpine gear with the car

lowered an unknown amout...its on the bumpstops

15" bsa wheels

badboy bonnet,badge smoothed out

smoothed roof

smoothed boot

2" zorst

1.8 16v seats

1.8 16v steering wheel

alpine 10" subs,amp,headunit

itl do the trick as a winter hack....aint planning on doing anything to it...mabey refurb the wheels as they are a bit grotty, back to black the bumpers

any comments are appreciated...even if its to have a laugh at

Beats walking I suppose.

Auction job was it?

its certainly better than walking with winter coming in

nah...quick scout through the paper looking for bargin buys....had to get something over the space of a weekend (as i live on an island and there aint much on the go) so it was a case of "hmm....sounds reasonable for that price.....if she drives ok il take it as il be stuck carless for another couple of weeks if i dont"

I actually quite like that 8-)

Better with different wheels though :-D

Yeah i think its alright too. Its the big plastic alien bumpers i dont like. This clio seems to have escaped those!

Indeed

UDO`s (unidentified driving objects) spoil it for every car :-(

Surely you would have been better with some thing standard? I wouldn't be seen dead in a Clio like that.

like i said...i went out with a small budget with a few ground rules...ie legal and driveable in a short period of a weekend.....this is the best i could come up with

tbh....in real terms....i wouldnt normally be seen dead in a 1.4 clio....but at this present moment...i dont care...its better than getting up early to stand in the wet/cold/dark to catch a bus to work

aye it managed to escape ghey bumpers and lexarse lights somehow.....pity the guy put checker plate in the door cards

if i crop up apon some 16v wheels cheap i could be tempted.....but as i say it was bought purely to burn about in for a wee while

if i can be arsed i clean it tomorrow and get a few better pics up....purely for the banter

Looks alryt to me for a runaround.

Get some smaller wheels on it, slam it more give it a good clean and back to black those bumpers youll be laughing.

gonna clean and back to black it when the weathers reasonable...bit mingy atm

i dont like the wheels that are on it but i dont want to be pouring cash into it....I'm iether haveing a baby or a stalet turbo next year  ....if i find a set cheap il mabey have them

i dont mind it, my sis has a clio, and id love a williams in that shape, but seriously sell the bonnet to a ricer and replace it for a std item, I'm sure that cant be good for visibility as it coveres half the light

pologtiniel - why would he want to slam it more if its a cheap runaround and a non vag at that, its already lowered too... the phrase pissing money down a well would apply if he was to get coilovers and some 13 inch yooroh wheels innnit blud

edit: spill the beans too how much did you actually spend on it?

£200...moted till feb, taxed till jan....seemed alright to me...got £100s worth of audio equipment with it and I'm sure the wheels and that must be worth £100 to some wee chav when i break it/finish with it....comments welcome

if i could find a ricer that would swap me for a 16v bonnet id do it in a flash

suprisingly the bonnet doesnt affect the lighting!

my mates had a couple of 16 valve ones that iv driven...id actually really like one of them....

whore a couple of pics seeing as i dint take any of mine today...

that bonnet is vile seriously, take it off!! why didnt you scout about for a mk2, atleast you'd have got some browny points on here!

  • Author

both those 16vs were driven hard! :unibrow:

i did look for a mk2 but i couldnt find one close to me....as i said i was rooked and i needed a car asap

I'm contimplateing trying to lay my hands on a mk2 or mk3 when i get paid as I'm not to keen on the idea of driveing a french car....may even hunt for another gt

well i had a free day to clean her and take a few half decent photos....

I like that apart from the bonnet. Wheels suit it, smoothed tailgate looks good, and the black bumpers suit it too.

But the bonnet :puke:
